Over the past couple decades there have been major developments in AI and consequently, it has become more and more mainstream. We’re seeing it now, with many people adopting Nest, Google’s home automation system, or using facial recognition to unlock an iPhone for example. And the use of AI will only accelerate more from this point on.
AI seems cool and is a common buzzword, but many people have concerns about the dangers that come along with it, including privacy and safety. Can AI be dangerous? Sure. However on the flip side, when done right, AI can be both private and safe. TeamSportz’s AI is and will always be safe and private. Let us explain:
Our AI does not record your video
When a player exercises using the TeamSportz app, all they need to do is set their phone down, point their phone camera towards them, and then start the activity. While we do request access to their camera, we don’t actually record or store any video recordings of them, making it extremely private for kids too. We only use their camera so our AI can detect the necessary points of the body and capture stats in real time. The training stats we capture are so that the player and the coach can see reps, sessions, form, accuracy, duration, speed, etc. The coach will never see the actual videos of the player exercising, because we simply don’t have them.
Our AI does not need the Cloud
Unlike the majority of AI solutions out there, our AI model runs on the phone and not on the Cloud. You might see other fitness or sports apps out there that record and store user exercise videos in the Cloud, and might analyse data from those videos later. Our approach is different and more safe, because we’re not recording exercise videos, therefore there's nothing to upload to the Cloud. We track and analyse the body movements in real time, only on the phone. Why can the Cloud be unsafe? Because with the Cloud, you’re always at risk of outside, unwanted attackers gaining access to your videos. With TeamSportz, you never have to worry about that ever.
Our AI does not share your data
The player’s exercise data is only shared with their coach and team. We will never sell and share your data with third parties. No need to worry about your personal or contact details being leaked. That stays on the TeamSportz platform only.
